About

Scott Anderson is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, known for his vibrant, textural oil paintings and a background that bridges fine art and digital media. His work has been exhibited in galleries across the U.S. and is collected internationally.

Before transitioning full-time to fine art in 2009, Scott spent over 15 years in the video game industry, developing lighting, materials, concept art, and 3D environments for titles like Tomb Raider: Underworld and Whiplash, where he served as Art Director at Crystal Dynamics. He also contributed to Gex 2 & 3, Disney Racing, and several sci-fi franchises.

Encouraged early on by his mother—a San Francisco Art Academy alum—Scott began drawing at the age of four. He studied illustration, fine art, and design at Chico State, Art Center College of Design, and the University of Florence in Italy. His time in Europe deepened his connection to classical art and contemporary visual storytelling.

Today, Scott continues to evolve his creative voice through oil painting, combining palette knife techniques with layered textures and luminous color. His work is grounded in craftsmanship, emotional resonance, and a passion for visual exploration.
